Senior AI Product Engineer – Climate Tech SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of product features, transforming unclear business objectives into production-ready code.

• Write clean, scalable, and production-ready code across the entire technology stack.

• Integrate AI/LLM tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and ChatGPT to enhance development efficiency.

• Develop features that facilitate real-time, component-level data processing and reporting.

• Convert high-level business objectives into technical strategies and execution plans.

• Proactively assess product direction, user requirements, and feature priorities.

• Contribute to the product roadmap while balancing customer impact and engineering feasibility.

• Define and monitor success criteria aligned with business outcomes.

• Clearly communicate progress, challenges, and decisions in an asynchronous environment.

• Collaborate daily with the engineering team based in Europe across different time zones.

• Document technical decisions and disseminate context widely.

• Stay informed about the engineering impact on enterprise customer outcomes.

• Coordinate with US-based stakeholders regarding business priorities during overlapping hours.

• Engage in technical evaluations or trial phases to assess fit.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or founding-engineer role.

• Proven capability to independently manage features from ambiguous requirements to production deployment in an early-stage (seed–Series B) company.

• Full-stack development experience with proficiency in working across the stack.

• Practical experience with AI/LLM-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and ChatGPT.

• Experience in fully remote, distributed engineering teams utilizing asynchronous documentation and communication methods.

• Availability to overlap with US/Austin afternoons and CET mornings, including a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with the European team.

• English proficiency at C1+ (CEFR).

• Experience in climate tech, carbon accounting, lifecycle assessment (LCA), or electronics/supply chain software is a plus.

• Prior experience as a founding engineer or early technical hire is a plus.

• Familiarity with enterprise B2B SaaS product development is a plus.

• Experience contributing to product roadmap or strategic decisions beyond mere execution is a plus.
