Senior AI Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete quality of AI-driven product experiences.

• Develop evaluation frameworks and reproducible test sets to objectively assess AI quality.

• Create and execute experiments on prompts, context strategies, and model configurations.

• Link AI modifications to activation, conversion, retention, and satisfaction metrics.

• Oversee and minimize AI-related expenses, including tokens, latency, model selection, and retrieval.

• Convert AI failure patterns, hallucinations, inconsistent outputs, and weak reasoning into prioritized solutions.

• Assist Product, Growth, and Engineering teams in understanding the user and business impact of AI changes.

• Collaborate throughout the product lifecycle, from design and development to launch and scaling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, AI product engineering, ML engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or applied AI systems.

• Demonstrated expertise in enhancing AI features after launch through analytics, experimentation, and structured evaluation.

• Strong understanding of product analytics and funnel metrics.

• Capability to identify whether AI quality issues arise from prompts, context, model constraints, UX, or data.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.

• Comfort in collaborating closely with Product, Growth, Design, Engineering, QA, and Analytics teams.

• A mindset oriented towards ownership, transparency, and results.

• Experience with A/B testing frameworks, AI observability tools, or custom evaluation pipelines is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, AWS Bedrock, or similar LLM providers is advantageous.

• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, semantic search, or tool-calling architectures is beneficial.

• Background in chatbots, assistants, content generation, or recommendation products is a plus.

• Proficient professional English communication is required by the application process.
