This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with client business, IT, architecture, security, data, and operations teams.
• Convert business goals and workflows into technical specifications, architectural designs, and implementation strategies.
• Evaluate enterprise application landscapes, integration needs, data environments, security limitations, and operational models.
• Provide guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on AI, data, platform, and integration topics.
• Recognize technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Create technical prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Design comprehensive AI solutions that connect client systems, data sources, content repositories, workflows, and approval processes.
• Construct and configure production-ready integrations using APIs, webhooks, event-driven patterns, secure file exchanges, connector frameworks, and enterprise integration platforms.
• Develop client-specific configuration and deployment assets.
• Contribute code to backend services, integration components, data pipelines, AI workflows, and support user experiences.
• Create and implement AI-enabled workflows utilizing LLMs, RAG, agent orchestration, structured outputs, evaluation frameworks, and human approval checkpoints.
• Implement authentication, authorization, identity federation, secrets management, data mapping, error handling, observability, and audit requirements.
• Aid in the transition from prototypes to stable production environments.
• Construct and maintain integrations, system connectors, and data pipelines.
• Design processes for data mapping, transformation, validation, and synchronization.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT and analytics projects.
• Develop cloud-native solutions, ideally on Google Cloud Platform.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Build and maintain applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Oversee reliability through logging, alerting, and observability.
• Assist in troubleshooting, performance enhancement, and incident resolution.
• Exhibit inclusive behaviors and actively manage bias.
• Perform additional assigned tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 9 years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, technical consulting, platform implementation, or similar engineering roles.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing and deploying production-level cloud-based AI, data, or enterprise application solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming and expertise in at least one other modern language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java, or .NET.
• Extensive experience in designing APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, enterprise integrations, authentication and security frameworks, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, agent orchestration, AI evaluations, observability, and guardrails.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, containers, and cloud-native development methodologies.
• Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to influence technical teams and executive stakeholders.
