Senior AI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Act as the first dedicated AI developer and technical leader for a suite of five tools designed for a training organization.

• Take responsibility for the technical design, development, testing, and deployment of all five tools.

• Develop prompts, retrieval pipelines, and structured outputs based on source documents.

• Collaborate with the compliance team to create evaluation sets and assess accuracy against human reviewers.

• Produce high-quality Word document exports, ensuring adherence to appropriate styles, templates, and branding.

• Oversee hosting, security, data management, and expenses, providing transparent usage and expenditure reports.

• Convert vocational education and training (VET) and compliance requirements into actionable features.

• Document the system to ensure 1 Education retains ownership and the suite remains maintainable.

• Spot new automation possibilities throughout the organization.

• Develop an Assessment Tool Mapper that verifies assessment tools against training-unit requirements, providing evidence, rationale, and gap recommendations.

• Create an Assessment Tool Generator that produces compliant assessment packs and mapping matrices.

• Design a Training and Assessment Strategy Generator that aligns with the Standards for RTOs 2025.

• Construct a Learner Guide Generator that creates Word, PowerPoint, and SCORM learning resources.

• Build a Procedure and Policy Generator for RTO policies, procedures, and forms mapped to the 2025 Standards and Queensland SAS requirements.

• Establish shared foundations for training-package retrieval, versioned reference data, hallucination control, human review, document generation, privacy, security, usability, and handover.

• Achieve measurable outcomes including over 85% agreement from human validators, 100% assessment coverage, audit-ready outputs, and functional SCORM packages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must be based in the Philippines.

• At least 5 years of software development experience, with a minimum of 2 years working on production applications utilizing large language models.

• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript, with experience in developing full-stack web applications.

• Practical experience with LLM APIs such as Claude or OpenAI, including retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, and document parsing.

• Proven methodology for ensuring accuracy and managing hallucination control, including evaluation and regression testing.

• Experience in programmatically generating well-formatted Word, Excel, and PDF files, utilizing tools like python-docx and openpyxl.

• Familiarity with cloud deployment on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Solid understanding of security and data privacy practices.

• A portfolio showcasing AI document analysis, document generation, or compliance tools that have been developed and deployed.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to confidently explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

• Required to disclose any ongoing roles or client commitments.

• Must represent this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”

• Highly regarded: experience within the Australian VET sector, education, or any other compliance-intensive field.

• Highly regarded: working knowledge of training.gov.au, units of competency, or the Standards for RTOs.

• Highly regarded: experience with SCORM 1.2 / 2004 packaging and LMS testing.

• Highly regarded: familiarity with PowerPoint generation and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

• Highly regarded: experience in UX design for guided questionnaires and wizard-style interfaces.

• Highly regarded: knowledge of agentic AI workflows and tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
