Senior Agentic Systems Architect – TypeScript, .NET, MCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Break down legacy monolithic systems into modular, agent-readable structures with clearly defined boundaries and a singular focus.

• Guide gradual modernization efforts utilizing the Strangler Pattern alongside contract-driven interfaces.

• Uphold SOLID principles, implement Dependency Injection, and apply Hexagonal Architecture.

• Design and maintain the agent context layer featuring standardized Skills, Rules, and Commands.

• Create and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that convert legacy APIs, services, and databases into secure, typed tools.

• Take ownership of contract-first API design to facilitate both human intent and autonomous agent execution.

• Serve as the architectural gatekeeper for AI-generated pull requests.

• Enforce test-driven development (TDD) and characterization testing during the refactoring process.

• Oversee and enhance agentic reasoning loops for efficiency, speed, and architectural soundness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years in software architecture, platform engineering, or technical leadership roles.

• Demonstrated experience in modernizing extensive, undocumented legacy systems.

• Strong practical knowledge of TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js.

• Solid background in API design, distributed systems, and modular architectures.

• Practical experience with agentic development, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-assisted engineering methodologies.

• A preference for clean code, deterministic systems, and production-quality AI solutions.

• Experience working with remote-first or globally distributed teams is a plus.

• Familiarity with SaaS transformations, scale-ups, or private equity-backed environments is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments is a plus.
