This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee intricate federal procurement processes and provide guidance to Contracting Officers, program managers, and senior stakeholders regarding acquisition strategies, associated risks, and alternatives.
• Create and evaluate acquisition plans, market research reports, requirements documents, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), source selection plans, and necessary approval documentation.
• Formulate strategies for both competitive and noncompetitive acquisitions, including IDIQs, BPAs, GSA Schedules, GWACs, task orders, and other contract vehicles.
• Understand and apply the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific supplements, procurement policies, and relevant statutory requirements.
• Direct the development of solicitations, source selections, proposal assessments, price and cost analyses, negotiations, and documentation for awards.
• Assist with contract awards, modifications, option exercises, research related to claims, performance issues, and other activities following award.
• Assess procurement actions for compliance, defensibility, and readiness for audit, while identifying risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
• Lead acquisition workstreams, present to government leadership, liaise with stakeholders, mentor team members, and enhance acquisition processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, or a relevant field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in supporting federal acquisitions.
• At least 3 years of experience managing complex federal procurements independently and developing acquisition strategies and packages.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience leading acquisition workstreams, advising government stakeholders, or providing technical guidance to junior acquisition staff.
• Must possess current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
