Senior Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary authority for intricate accounting matters, including tax, managing them from inception to completion.

• Impart accounting expertise to the team.

• Take ownership of expected credit loss (ECL) accounting.

• Assist in establishing accounting practices for new products to ensure accurate recording in systems from day one.

• Streamline system connections to minimize manual financial data processing.

• Enhance processes and controls.

• Contribute to building the accounting infrastructure for KOHO Bank.

• Ensure precise bookkeeping and generate financial reports for leadership, investors, and regulatory bodies.

• Report directly to the Director, Financial Accounting & Reporting.

• Function as an individual contributor without direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA (or an equivalent accounting qualification).

• Over 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level roles with minimal supervision.

• Strong comprehension and application of IFRS accounting standards.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to clarify numerical data to non-accountants.

• Comfort with change and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.

• Must have legal eligibility to work in Canada.

• This position is remote-based within Canada.
