This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a portfolio of client relationships from onboarding to the completion and renewal of engagements.
• Lead intricate, high-stakes, or pioneering engagements and act as the point of escalation for challenging methodological inquiries.
• Articulate AI-generated work products to client finance teams and fund managers.
• Transform client patterns into product and process modifications, prioritizing engineering tasks.
• Strategically plan engagements by evaluating risks, establishing materiality, and scoping procedures across various entities.
• Examine verification and audit procedures along with AI-generated work papers; approve them prior to delivery to clients or engagement partners.
• Make and document determinations regarding the sufficiency and appropriateness of evidence.
• Monitor AICPA auditing and attestation standards alongside firm quality management policies.
• Author and uphold audit methodology, work programs, and quality review standards.
• Specify accuracy requirements and design evaluations and test cases for dependable AI workflows.
• Develop modules and prototypes utilizing AI and technology tools.
• Determine the readiness of AI-assisted procedures for client application.
• Establish feedback loops to enhance system performance in engagements.
• Mentor Accounting Engineers and elevate the team's judgment standards.
• Assist in hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
• Expand the internal knowledge base.
• 6–10+ years of experience in audit or assurance, with in-charge or manager-level responsibilities for engagements.
• Valid CPA license.
• Proficient understanding of AICPA auditing standards (AU-C) and risk-based audit methodology.
• Proven history of reviewing the work of others and taking ownership of the final quality of an engagement.
• Experience applying audit expertise in non-traditional audit settings (industry, consulting, audit innovation, or product roles).
• Familiarity with technology and AI tools, along with the capability to clearly explain the accuracy of automated outputs.
• Exceptional written communication skills; ability to document judgment calls for reviewers or regulators to understand.
• Strong client-facing skills; adept at leading challenging discussions with CFOs or fund managers.
• Preferred: audit experience within private funds, private companies, employee benefit plans, governments, nonprofits, or related standards.
• Preferred: hands-on experience in developing or testing AI or automation for audit or analytical purposes.
• Preferred: working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar data analytics tools.
• Preferred: experience in writing firm methodology, work programs, or quality management policies.
• Preferred: background in a startup or fast-paced, unstructured environment.
