This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete month-end closing process.
• Prepare and assess intricate journal entries, accruals, prepayments, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct thorough monthly financial variance (flux) analyses for revenue and operating expenses.
• Collaborate with FP&A to convert financial data into valuable insights for leadership.
• Oversee the entire Accounts Payable cycle, which includes vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, corporate card management, and expense management tools.
• Assist in the evaluation, design, and implementation of the next-generation ERP system.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers, schedules, and internal controls for external financial audits.
• Support invoice processing, operational initiatives, and cross-functional projects in collaboration with Finance and People team leaders.
• Report directly to the Director of Accounting and collaborate with Finance and cross-functional leaders.
• 3–5 years of advanced experience in general ledger accounting, public accounting, or financial operations within a high-growth, multi-state startup setting.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Strong technical understanding of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, complex journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Practical experience with modern cloud accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and spend management platforms (Ramp, Bill.com, Rippling).
• Direct involvement in ERP implementation projects and preparation for external financial audits.
• CPA certification is a significant advantage.
