This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Accounting Manager in managing cost accounting and inventory accounting for Legacy ACT, tvONE, and Ambersphere.
• Compile monthly inventory and cost-of-sales closing reports.
• Maintain standard cost data and process costs for new items and any cost changes across each ERP system.
• Generate data, analyses, and reconciliations for annual and interim cost rolls.
• Create and update overhead rates and allocation drivers.
• Conduct monthly purchase price variance analysis and collaborate with the Purchasing department for resolution.
• Examine variances in material usage, labor, overhead, and freight/duty.
• Produce monthly gross margin analyses by entity and product line.
• Prepare inventory roll-forwards and reconcile perpetual inventory sub-ledgers with the general ledger.
• Maintain calculations for inventory reserves and supporting documentation.
• Account for goods in transit, landed cost, capitalized variances, and demo/rental inventory.
• Prepare intercompany inventory transfer entries and eliminate intercompany profit in inventory.
• Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventories at U.S. and U.K. locations.
• Draft journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and cost and inventory schedules for reporting purposes.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to inquiries from external auditors.
• Document procedures and controls, supporting process improvements, automation, ERP enhancements, and data cleanup initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting (with a major in Accounting) from an accredited institution.
• Strong academic performance, such as being on the Dean's or President's List.
• A minimum of 1 year of post-graduate audit experience with a Big Four or comparable national firm.
• Relevant internships in audit, assurance, and financial operations.
• Experience with financial statement tie-outs under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Familiarity with substantive testing of revenue, expenses, PP&E, and cash.
• Experience in participating in physical inventory counts.
• Proven ability to identify and rectify control deficiencies.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and preparation of audit workpapers.
• Exposure to ERP and accounting systems such as Sage 300, QuickBooks, and CaseWare.
• Willingness to learn Microsoft Dynamics AX, NetSuite, and Xero.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with handling large datasets.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Support for CPA eligibility from the company.
• Training in standard costing, cost rolls, and variance analysis.
• Opportunity to travel up to 25%.
