Senior Accountant, Reporting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Play an active role in month-end and year-end closing processes, which include journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

• Assist in the creation of management reports and analyses, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

• Generate ad hoc financial and operational analyses to aid management in decision-making.

• Evaluate financial performance and trends, delivering valuable insights and conclusions.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and addressing any outstanding items.

• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

• Support group consolidation efforts and reporting at the group level.

• Contribute to the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of ERP and finance systems, including system testing, process design, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Help in the development and maintenance of reporting solutions and dashboards utilizing tools like Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Create, maintain, and continuously enhance finance processes, internal controls, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Execute operational accounting tasks and assist in process automation and efficiency improvements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide financial analyses and support informed decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of demonstrated experience in accounting, financial reporting, and finance operations.

• Proficient understanding of IFRS.

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Background in supporting ERP implementations, finance transformation projects, or finance system enhancements.

• Strong Excel capabilities coupled with an analytical mindset.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI is highly desirable.

• A professional accounting qualification would be a plus.

• Experience in a multi-entity and international setting would be advantageous.
