This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Take ownership of revenue, accounts receivable, closing processes, reporting, and internal controls for a rapidly expanding line of business.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Billing, and Finance leadership teams.
• Develop scalable processes that comply with GAAP standards and healthcare regulations.
• Prepare and record journal entries for complex transactions, including equity, debt, leases, internally developed software, intercompany transactions, and other areas.
• Prepare intercompany journal entries and reconciliations across multiple entities and transactions.
• Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Analyze vendor spending trends and monitor expenditures by function.
• Work together with various teams to ensure adherence to internal and external reporting requirements.
• Address GL-related inquiries and implement process improvements in collaboration with accounting and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Offer guidance and support to junior accounting personnel.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical procedures to verify the completeness and accuracy of account balances.
• Review financial statements and GL data for discrepancies, errors, and other issues that require management's attention.
• Investigate accounting issues for GAAP compliance and communicate the findings effectively.
• Update and adhere to the company's accounting procedures and processes.
• Enhance and document internal controls.
• Address ad hoc management requests as needed.
• Assist with interim and year-end audits, preparing timely and accurate deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 5-7+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting for complex transactions.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 and ASC 350.
• Experience in public accounting that includes GAAP compliance and presenting findings to management is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to conduct flux analysis, identify trends and discrepancies, and suggest effective solutions.
• Proactive in pinpointing process inefficiencies and providing improvement suggestions.
• Self-motivated and capable of executing responsibilities independently with minimal oversight.
• Proven experience collaborating with multiple departments to deliver financial insights and enhance processes.
• A strong desire to be a team player and assist in various capacities.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Coupa.
• Advanced skills in Excel, GSuite, and other financial analysis tools.
• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• CPA designation is a plus.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is beneficial.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment is preferred.
• Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended durations, perform necessary physical movements, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
