Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Execute month-end closing of the general ledger for 10-12 locations.

• Prepare general ledger entries to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of month-end financial outcomes.

• Create and assess operating statements.

• Compare actual results against historical trends, investigating and explaining any variances.

• Analyze critical accounts.

• Review vendor invoices for correctness and proper coding, and accrue when necessary.

• Ensure that month-end closing and financial reporting deadlines are adhered to.

• Conduct accounting and reporting tasks in alignment with GAAP.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of selected asset and liability accounts.

• Compile supporting documents for account balances.

• Assist internal and external auditors as required.

• Undertake other job-related responsibilities as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2+ years of relevant experience in an accounting role.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• Strong analytical and technical accounting abilities.

• Proficient Excel skills preferred.

• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.

• Strong team player and leader.

• Highly motivated and capable of performing under pressure during peak periods.

• Willingness to work some off-hours as needed to complete the closing process.
