Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, encompassing accruals, prepaids, deferred costs, and other designated accounting areas.

• Conduct account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and complete monthly and quarterly flux analyses.

• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activities, providing explanations for significant fluctuations.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, account analyses, tie-outs, and relevant supporting documentation.

• Ensure accurate accounting records are maintained and reporting deadlines are met across global stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to enhance or automate accounting processes.

• Support internal and external audits, quarterly reviews, SOX activities, and other internal control requirements, as necessary.

• Calculate indirect taxes and prepare monthly tax returns.

• Engage in special projects, technical accounting analyses, and other ad hoc initiatives.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, Tax, and other global teams.

• Ensure an efficient and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of progressive accounting experience.

• Experience working in a multinational company, SaaS organization, technology firm, or Big Four accounting firm.

• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support.

• Experience with Oracle or another large ERP or accounting system.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable managing large data sets.

• Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Capability to work independently, handle competing priorities, and produce high-quality work within deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across diverse countries and functions.

• Proficient in English.
