Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for assigned balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.

• Ensure that balances are precise, well-supported, ready for review, and analyze fluctuations, variances, and essential account activities.

• Prepare reconciliations promptly and maintain the necessary supporting documentation.

• Investigate any discrepancies and work towards resolution with sustainable corrective measures.

• Oversee assigned accounting issues until completion and monitor commitments, risks, and action plans.

• Maintain process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Provide cross-training and mentorship to Staff Accountants through coaching and knowledge sharing.

• Identify and implement enhancements in processes, controls, reporting, and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.

• 4–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Proven experience in performing month-end close activities.

• Proficiency in account reconciliations.

• Experience in preparing journal entries.

• Competence in conducting financial analysis.

• Experience in managing significant balance sheet accounts or accounting processes.

• Preferred CPA, CPA candidate, or demonstrated progress towards professional certification.

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
