Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Prepare and uphold current balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items.

• Reconcile bank statements accurately.

• Prepare and enter journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and other necessary adjustments, along with supporting documentation.

• Classify and record transactions within the general ledger.

• Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures in accordance with the closing calendar.

• Prepare intercompany entries and reconciliations among various entities.

• Assist with the monthly closing process for international entities in the UK, Australia, and India, while reviewing their reconciliations.

• Maintain and refresh accounting records, workpapers, and files.

• Create schedules and documents for audit purposes.

• Collaborate across company entities, including international branches, while adapting the role as the company grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, demonstrating hands-on responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and month-end closing.

• Experience in multi-entity accounting; familiarity with intercompany and multi-currency transactions is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.

• Proficiency with NetSuite is a plus.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are required.

• Solid understanding of GAAP principles.

• A strong sense of initiative and independence in task completion is essential.

• Effective problem-solving and time management skills are necessary.
