Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage accounting operations and ensure the precision of financial reporting.

• Prepare and assess financial statements to guarantee accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

• Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Analyze financial information and deliver insights to aid decision-making.

• Maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to compliance standards.

• Assist in the formulation and execution of accounting policies and procedures.

• Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing accounting processes and adopting best practices.

• Liaise with auditors to ensure documentation and financial statements are prepared for audits.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial positions.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Strong understanding of GAAP.

• Competence in preparing and reviewing financial statements.

• Proficient in executing month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Ability to analyze financial data effectively.

• Experience in maintaining the general ledger.

• Capability to coordinate with auditors and prepare documentation that is ready for audits.

• Skill in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Regularly required to sit.

• Frequently necessary to use hand and finger dexterity.

• Often required to communicate verbally or listen.

• Regularly required to maintain visual acuity for operating equipment, reading technical documentation, and/or using a keyboard.
