Senior 3D & AI Systems Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the backend development of features for 3D AutoReview, covering everything from pipeline architecture to production delivery.

• Engage in experiments with geometry parsing, quality detection, and context generation tailored for 3D model reviews.

• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to swiftly deliver impactful features while ensuring quality and cross-functional alignment.

• Work alongside ML teams to integrate intelligence into the 3D review process.

• Create extensible systems that facilitate custom rule creation and manage reference data in 3D AutoReview.

• Assist in establishing and upholding high technical standards throughout the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, preferably within a product or platform team.

• Strong understanding of 3D mathematics with practical experience in graphics engines, CAD kernels (HOOPS, OpenCascade, Parasolid), robotics, and 3D simulations.

• Direct experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.

• Familiarity with ML/AI/LLM concepts and their productionalization.

• Experience with 3D model ML pipelines, including feature extraction, embedding generation, model training, or inference.

• Knowledge of agentic workflows, such as pydantic-ai.

• Experience in integrating and prompting LLMs via APIs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini.

• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, or Scikit-learn.

• Experience deploying ML services in cloud environments, such as AWS SageMaker or Amazon Bedrock.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous or loosely defined technical challenges with comfort.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical issues into clear actionable solutions.

• Experience with CAD modeling software like SolidWorks, Creo, or OnShape is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles is also a strong advantage.
