Semi-Senior Front-end Engineer – Entertainment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop pages and reusable React/Next.js components for a new front-end.

• Transform designs into responsive and accessible user interfaces.

• Integrate components with headless CMS content and backend APIs.

• Create unit and component tests.

• Engage in code reviews, planning, and estimation processes.

• Deliver clearly defined features independently from ticket creation to merged and tested code, while addressing blockers and posing questions as necessary.

• Utilize enterprise AI tools and AI assistants to aid in coding, refactoring, testing, and debugging while critically assessing their output.

• Join the Core Web team to construct a new headless front-end for an independent global news organization.

• Develop pages and components for an initial launch scheduled for early next year.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in front-end engineering.

• Strong background in React.

• Hands-on experience with Next.js in a production environment, including deploying at least one Next.js project and understanding SSR/SSG and routing fundamentals.

• Proficiency in TypeScript.

• Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs.

• Ability to create responsive and accessible user interfaces based on design specifications.

• Background in writing unit and component tests, preferably using Jest and React Testing Library.

• Recent regular usage of AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT.

• Experience with headless CMS.

• Familiarity with integration testing.

• Must currently reside in Latin America.
