Semantics, Knowledge Graph Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Analyze and maintain RDF/TTL data models and vocabularies

• Develop, optimize, and sustain SPARQL queries

• Support workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation

• Ensure the consistency and accuracy of semantic data throughout the platform

• Collaborate with backend engineers to embed semantic logic into application processes

• Assist in documenting semantic models, assumptions, and constraints

• Engage in troubleshooting issues related to data quality and reasoning

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with semantic or data-centric systems

• Proficient knowledge of RDF, RDFS, and OWL

• Strong understanding of SPARQL

• Experience with knowledge graphs or platforms facilitating semantic interoperability

• Background in data modeling and ontology design

• Comfortable working with structured data formats such as TTL, XML, JSON, and CSV

• Ability to analyze existing models and comprehend implicit domain logic

• Experience with triplestores or graph databases is a plus

• Familiarity with EU data standards or interoperability frameworks is an advantage

• Python scripting for data processing and/or Apache Airflow experience is beneficial

• Experience in projects governed by regulatory or standards-driven constraints is advantageous
