This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and uphold security monitoring, logging, and incident response capabilities for FSA IAM systems.
• Ensure that the IAM solution aligns with Event Log Management and Advanced Logging (EL3) standards.
• Guarantee encryption protocols for data both at rest and in transit while maintaining FISMA compliance.
• Take charge of Security Incident Management.
• Oversee remediation initiatives for identified security issues.
• Assist with Ongoing Security Assessments (OSA).
• Keep the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) updated in CSAM.
• Implement and refine SIEM processes for immediate threat detection and response.
• Manage security controls and inheritance statements effectively.
• Address outcomes from Continuous Diagnostics and Monitoring (CDM).
• Manage findings related to Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and monitor remediation efforts.
• Ensure that the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) scorecard meets or exceeds the required ratings.
• Assist in supply chain risk management, data planning, federal records and CUI handling, Section 508 accessibility, technology business management reporting, and project, risk, and schedule documentation to support the Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Provide security expertise regarding identity verification, account recovery processes, and overall protection of the environment.
• Required Clearance: Public Trust.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Required Experience: 8 years.
• Strong proficiency in SIEM tools, advanced logging (EL3), and security event management.
• In-depth knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, FedRAMP, and CSAM processes.
• Experience in security remediation, managing POA&M, and tracking vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with data encryption standards (AES-256, TLS) and logging requirements.
• Capability to analyze security events, logs, and alerts for threat identification.
• Exceptional documentation and compliance tracking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially under pressure.
• Effective collaboration with security, operations, and development teams.
• Understanding of federal cybersecurity policies and identity management security.
• Proficient with security tools, Microsoft Office, and compliance platforms.
