This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +6 more countries.
• Strategize and execute detection and response initiatives from start to finish
• Develop, fine-tune, and sustain detections within Elastic SIEM and AWS
• Manage an investigation queue: assess, investigate, escalate, and resolve security incidents
• Compose clear and concise incident reports
• Create runbooks and automate processes using Python, Zapier, or Tines
• Make and document risk-related decisions and escalate issues when necessary
• Assist the compliance program by ensuring owned controls are audit-ready and providing evidence for SOC 2 and PCI DSS audits
• Utilize Terraform and Python to establish and uphold detection and tooling infrastructure
• Engage in the on-call rotation for incident response and monitoring
• Practical experience in building and tuning detections in a SIEM (preferably Elastic; experience with Splunk, Sentinel, or similar tools is also welcome)
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native detection and response
• Proficient in Python for scripting and automation tasks
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Proven experience in triaging, investigating, and resolving security incidents
• Excellent written communication skills with a clear and structured approach
• Familiarity with no-code security automation / SOAR-style tools (a plus)
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 (a plus)
• Background in fintech, payments, or another regulated industry (a plus)
• Candidates must possess working rights in the country where they will be based
