Incident Response Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create processes, tools, and automation to enhance incident management responses and reduce business risks.

• Work collaboratively with security teams, engineering, product management, support, and business operations to pinpoint detection use cases and automation strategies.

• Utilize a threat-modeling-focused methodology for incident detection and response.

• Oversee the security logging platform.

• Remain informed about current threats and attack vectors to enhance detection systems and manage attack surfaces effectively.

• Manage information security events and incidents related to ClickHouse products and services.

• Promote the adoption of advanced security processes and tools that bolster detection and incident response capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in product security, red teaming, penetration testing, or threat modeling, coupled with a background in incident detection and response.

• Strong understanding of and experience with one or more cloud service providers, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven experience in securing large-scale customer-facing cloud infrastructures.

• Extensive development and automation expertise, ideally in Golang and Python.

• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous.

• Previous involvement in open source projects is a plus.

• Security or cloud-related certifications, such as those from AWS, GCP, or Azure, are considered beneficial qualifications.
