Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee sophisticated penetration-testing projects

• Act as an essential line of defense for both on-premises and cloud application portfolios

• Develop intricate attack strategies to uncover vulnerabilities

• Offer actionable and detailed remediation advice to development teams

• Create and manage agentic AI workflows to enhance security testing scalability

• Expand testing coverage across complex system architectures

• Make crucial risk-based security decisions

• Promote a proactive security culture that leverages human judgment along with autonomous agents

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 4 years, or PhD with 1 year in application-level penetration testing

• Advanced expertise in offensive security pertaining to web applications, mobile applications, networks, and distributed systems

• Profound technical knowledge of common vulnerabilities, attack methods, and remediation techniques

• Demonstrated experience with AWS and GCP

• Capability to create and maintain custom tools using Python or Bash

• Active involvement in the security community, such as research publications, CVEs, open-source projects, or bug-bounty accolades is preferred

• Strong skills in C++, Javascript, Python, or Go are preferred

• Experience with Splunk products or comparable large-scale data platforms is preferred

• Ability to foster cross-functional relationships with engineering teams is preferred

• Effective communication, mentoring, and constructive technical feedback skills are preferred
