Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop security architecture designs for internal systems and customer solutions that align with the overall architecture framework.

• Perform threat modelling and risk assessments for applications, platforms, and services.

• Create security assurance documentation for internal governance, customer assurance, and formal accreditation.

• Collaborate with Technical Architects and Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are secure by default and appropriate to the level of risk.

• Evaluate emerging threats and vulnerabilities, including CVEs, and provide recommendations for remediation.

• Assist delivery teams with security guidance and hands-on involvement.

• Present security designs and risk assessments to the Technical Assurance Board.

• Provide security architecture support for bids, sales initiatives, and security questionnaires.

• Aid in the evaluation and controlled adoption of new security technologies.

• Continuously enhance skills and knowledge in response to evolving threats, technologies, and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in designing and assuring secure systems.

• Strong grasp of security principles, non-functional requirements, and risk management.

• Confidence in engaging with stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and governance.

• Experience in regulated or public-sector environments is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Essentials, NIST, or CIS is preferred.

• Existing right to work and travel within the UK.

• Successful completion of vetting, references, and occupational health checks.

• A Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check may be necessary based on the role.
