This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Oversee client environments and manage security alert triaging.
• Evaluate security alerts, events, and emerging trends.
• Conduct alert classification, resolution, and escalation in accordance with SLA standards.
• Independently probe complex and high-severity issues to reach a resolution.
• Implement containment and response measures, including isolating hosts, terminating processes, and blocking indicators.
• Record tickets that include evidence trails, investigative reasoning, and rationale for dispositions.
• Utilize SIEM, MDR, mXDR, and incident response tools per client engagement guidelines.
• Detect security vulnerabilities and propose mitigations within client systems.
• Relay findings, recommendations, and the value of services to clients and internal teams.
• Attend scheduled client security operations meetings.
• Produce reports and create, implement, and enhance documentation.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements.
• Report noisy, low-fidelity, or malfunctioning detections for further evaluation.
• Escalate issues that exceed scope, tool access, or authority to a Senior Analyst or Security Operations Manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or alternatively, two years of experience in a related technology field along with pertinent industry certifications.
• At least two years of experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, CrowdStrike Falcon, and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Capability to articulate basic hardening techniques for network and process detections.
• Knowledge of standard endpoint security best practices.
• Proven understanding of incident response principles and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies employed to mitigate cyber risks, with the ability to convey that knowledge effectively.
• Familiarity with common network services and potential attacks on them.
• Previous experience in a technical support or security-centric position.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 1:00pm to 9:30pm ET.
• Must be residing in Hawaii.
