SecOps Security Architect – North Central Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery by converting client objectives, environments, constraints, and risks into both current-state and target-state architectures.

• Offer presales assistance through solution strategies, architecture diagrams, technical presentations, proposals, and responses addressing client requirements.

• Define the scope of engagement, including activities, assumptions, dependencies, responsibilities, exclusions, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and effort estimates.

• Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight for SecOps Engineering and Data Analytics initiatives.

• Assess technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, data pipelines, observability, automation, AI, and others against client use cases and integration needs.

• Create and maintain reference architectures, discovery questionnaires, scoping tools, estimation models, implementation patterns, and technical standards.

• Mentor SecOps Engineers and SecOps Data Engineers while reviewing designs and deliverables.

• Collaborate with account executives and regional sales teams to evaluate opportunities, shape services, identify technical risks, and set realistic client expectations.

• Assist with strategic client engagements, architecture workshops, technical escalations, and quality reviews of delivery.

• Monitor the regional pipeline, delivery capacity, technology demands, and required skills to align opportunities with practice capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seven to ten years of experience in security operations, security architecture, SIEM engineering, data engineering, observability, consulting, or similar fields.

• Proven experience in designing or leading engagements related to SIEM, SOAR, security telemetry, data pipelines, observability, or security analytics.

• Experience in conducting client discovery sessions, developing solution architectures, scoping professional services engagements, and estimating engineering efforts.

• Advanced knowledge of SOC operating models, SIEM, SOAR, detection engineering, automation, security telemetry, data pipelines, and observability.

• Experience in identifying technical assumptions, dependencies, delivery risks, acceptance criteria, and scope boundaries.

• Proficient understanding of cloud architecture, APIs, authentication, networking, data formats, schemas, integration patterns, and access-control concepts.

• Capability to review technical queries, scripts, transformations, detection logic, automation workflows, and architectural documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional and military experience.

• Willingness to adopt emerging technologies, including AI tools.

• Up to 10% travel required.

• Sedentary work environment.

• Significant movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

• Close visual acuity necessary for computer terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
