Seasonal Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for members, providers, and pharmacies through phone, chat, email, and written communication.

• Address inquiries related to mail order, benefit design, formulary coverage, medication costs, prior authorization criteria, and claims adjudication.

• Review and process prescription claims for accuracy in accordance with benefit guidelines and contract standards.

• Assist clinical pharmacists with outreach to patients and providers, scheduling appointments, enrolling in clinical programs, and following up on medication adherence.

• Record interactions and resolutions in internal systems to ensure continuity of care, quality assurance, compliance, and reporting.

• Take ownership of issues from the initial contact to final resolution, coordinating with internal teams as necessary.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools and internal knowledge systems to address inquiries and document interactions.

• Promote a collaborative, respectful, and diverse team atmosphere while completing additional assigned duties and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Must have an active/current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA).

• 1–3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a health plan, retail pharmacy, TPA, PBM contact center, mail order, or specialty pharmacy environment.

• Proficient understanding of pharmacy claims adjudication, benefit design, and PBM terminology.

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and analytical, with a strong ability to solve root-cause problems.

• Empathetic and intellectually inquisitive, with a commitment to enhancing members' healthcare experiences.

• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing across simultaneous phone, chat, and email interactions.

• Able to support multiple lines of business and adapt to shifting priorities.

• Effectively work in a fully remote setting while maintaining reliable attendance.

• Must reside in Florida, Texas, Georgia, or Tennessee.
