This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate as a member of cross-functional program review or product delivery teams involved in Government of Alberta digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead and mentor teams in the application of agile principles, policies, and practices.
• Facilitate planning meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, product demonstrations, retrospectives, refinement sessions, and additional ad hoc meetings.
• Coach teams on agile methodologies, estimation processes, sprint commitments, external dependencies, and resolution of blocking issues.
• Serve as a liaison between the GoA product owner and delivery team to enhance sprint objectives and commitments.
• Advise the GoA product owner on reporting, release planning, and roadmap development.
• Identify and eliminate roadblocks and distractions that hinder sprint commitments and the delivery of product features.
• Oversee communication, enhance transparency, share service delivery information, and mediate conflicts.
• Maintain delivery metrics and provide reports on product plans, progress, and quality assurance utilizing sprint burndown/velocity charts, product backlogs, and sprint backlogs.
• Report advancements to the Province as instructed.
• Employ generative AI and agentic tools for drafting, analysis, structured retrieval, backlog support, meeting synthesis, delivery reporting, and automation.
• Implement prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, and review of AI outputs.
• Develop AI-enhanced delivery routines and adopt process automation practices.
• Communicate the impacts of technical changes and automation in an easily understandable manner.
• Engage in user research and usability testing.
• Adjust services and deliverables in response to evolving user and business requirements, as well as design and technical opportunities.
• Proven fluency in AI through regular use of generative AI and agentic tools.
• Proficiency in prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, and assessment of AI outputs for risk, hallucination, privacy, sensitivity, and appropriateness.
• Capability to create AI-augmented routines rather than solely utilize AI tools.
• Familiarity with process automation patterns, including workflow automation, digital forms, structured intake, status reporting, and agentic process orchestration.
• Skill in translating technical changes into clear communication for business stakeholders, product owners, delivery teams, and other stakeholders.
• Experience as a Scrum Master along with knowledge of agile principles, policies, procedures, and methodologies.
• Competence in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing sprint processes, removing obstacles, and supporting sprint commitments.
• Experience in maintaining delivery metrics, product plans, progress, and quality assurance using project management tools and artifacts.
• Ability to manage responsibilities across two or more projects.
• Involvement in user research and usability testing activities.
• Full-time work arrangement.
• Maximum of 1,960 hours per term unless an alternative agreement is made with the Province.
