This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Zambia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with DMI’s creative team to brainstorm, develop, and refine script concepts that align with campaign themes and objectives.

• Craft concise, engaging, and emotionally impactful one-minute radio drama scripts aimed at parents and caregivers of children aged 0–5 years.

• Utilize feedback from pretesting sessions to enhance clarity and maximize audience impact.

• Offer creative suggestions for incorporating sound effects and music to boost listener engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in radio scriptwriting with a portfolio showcasing engaging and memorable work.

• Less experienced scriptwriters may be considered if their writing meets a very high standard.

• Excellent writing skills, capable of conveying clear messages in a concise and compelling manner.

• Ability to create relatable characters, vivid scenes, and emotional connections using only dialogue and sound effects.

• Understanding of local culture and audience, especially in rural settings.

• A collaborative spirit and willingness to accept feedback.

• Familiarity with maternal and child health topics is a plus.

• Successful candidates may be subject to background and reference checks as applicable.
