This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the strategic vision for scientific content across various accounts, in alignment with client goals, brand strategies, and medical priorities.
• Provide senior-level guidance and ultimate accountability for the quality, accuracy, and uniformity of deliverables.
• Oversee the processes of content development and training initiatives.
• Assist teams in interpreting intricate clinical data and transforming insights into scientific communications.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance content through strategic storytelling and market insights.
• Act as a senior scientific collaborator for clients.
• Offer strategic recommendations and tailored solutions.
• Lead or facilitate scientific discussions with clients and key opinion leaders.
• Guide cross-functional teams towards effective execution.
• Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of proposals and pitches.
• Manage accounts, timelines, budgets, resources, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and overall account health.
• Lead and develop scientific teams; set standards and support engagement and change initiatives.
• Address team dynamics, provide constructive feedback, and identify skill gaps.
• Handle multiple priorities, delegate responsibilities while ensuring accountability, and maintain communication with senior stakeholders.
• Directly manage, mentor, and develop assigned MW and ASD team members.
• Establish performance expectations, facilitate career growth, and oversee workload distribution and utilization.
• Participate in performance evaluations and promotion recommendations.
• Assist in hiring, interviewing, candidate assessments, and onboarding processes.
• Doctoral-level degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
• Significant experience in medical writing and the development of scientific content.
• Experience in a medical communications agency (5-7+ years).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and reference management tools (e.g., EndNote).
