This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist Medical Directors and Franchise Leads in achieving strategic and tactical excellence for designated Otsuka therapeutic-area assets.
β’ Oversee key initiatives and manage assigned Medical Affairs projects.
β’ Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs teams, including Medical Communications, Field Medical, Medical Education, Evidence Generation, and Medical Operations.
β’ Contribute to global medical affairs strategies and tactical plans for designated assets and indications.
β’ Support the annual medical planning process, set medical objectives, key initiatives, and success metrics.
β’ Monitor, assess, and integrate scientific, clinical, and competitive insights.
β’ Assist with lifecycle management, launch readiness, and indication expansion planning.
β’ Identify evidence gaps and prioritize opportunities for evidence generation.
β’ Support evidence-generation plans, secondary analyses, publications, real-world evidence, and scientific communications.
β’ Build relationships with external experts and stakeholders.
β’ Assist with advisory boards, expert consultations, and scientific engagement activities.
β’ Aid in publication planning, congress activities, scientific narratives, communication platforms, and medical education materials.
β’ Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, and alignment across all deliverables.
β’ Represent Medical Affairs on cross-functional asset teams and strategic initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Global Integrated Evidence & Innovation, Market Access, and other functions.
β’ Lead assigned Medical Affairs projects and workstreams.
β’ Collect and analyze insights from external experts, scientific meetings, emerging data, and the treatment landscape.
β’ Transform insights into actionable recommendations and convey strategic implications to internal stakeholders.
β’ MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant life sciences discipline is required.
β’ At least 4 years of experience in Medical Affairs Strategy in CNS, including psychiatry or related therapeutic areas is preferred.
β’ Capability to contribute to the development of medical strategy and execute cross-functional initiatives.
β’ Experience in supporting evidence generation activities, scientific communications, publications, and/or engaging with external experts.
β’ Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development, Medical Affairs functions, and relevant industry regulations.
β’ Ability to critically assess and synthesize scientific and clinical data to guide medical and business decisions.
β’ Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
β’ Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
β’ Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization capabilities; adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
β’ Experience working with external experts, advisory boards, and scientific meetings is preferred.
β’ Launch and/or pre-launch experience is preferred.
β’ Proficiency in Veeva and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
