SAP TM S/4HANA Rollout Consultant, Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the SAP TM solution for designated rollout waves.

• Conduct fit-to-standard sessions with business stakeholders.

• Evaluate local transportation practices, carriers, legal requirements, and documentation needs in relation to the global design.

• Determine the coverage of the global template and identify authentic local gaps.

• Create solutions that adhere to the global standard.

• Oversee the design throughout the build, testing, cutover, and initial post-go-live support phases.

• Design SAP TM on S/4HANA for freight planning, carrier selection and tendering, freight order execution, charge calculation, and freight settlement.

• Manage integration within the S/4HANA logistics chain, encompassing outbound sales orders and deliveries, inbound purchasing flows, warehouse execution, and freight costs through finance.

• Handle carrier connectivity, including EDI or business network onboarding, tracking, and carrier status messages.

• Develop functional specifications for the build team and collaborate with integration, development, and testing leads.

• Organize testing and address defects during integration and user acceptance testing.

• Lead the cutover, hypercare, and transition to support for each rollout wave.

• Incorporate lessons learned from each wave back into the global template.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in SAP logistics, with SAP TM on S/4HANA as a central focus.

• Experience with at least one TM rollout or global template program for a manufacturing firm.

• Direct involvement in fit-gap analysis and solution design, beyond mere configuration.

• Proficient understanding of TM integrations with SD, MM, EWM, and FI/CO.

• Experience in conducting workshops with business users and translating requirements into designs and specifications.

• Ability to work remotely across countries within a multi-company program team.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Familiarity with SAP Business Network for Logistics or a carrier visibility platform is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience with both embedded and side-by-side TM deployments is beneficial but not essential.

• Background in automotive, industrial, or process manufacturing is a plus but not required.

• Knowledge of multimodal, international, or dangerous goods transport is advantageous but not required.

• SAP TM certification is a plus but not required.

• Consultants must be located in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, or Czechia.
