SAP S/4HANA Retail Inventory Management Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, and provide support for S/4HANA Retail Inventory Management along with in-store inventory operations.

• Assist Store Operations with processes such as Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, stock transfers, inventory adjustments, returns, handling damaged stock, and managing shrinkage.

• Oversee Store Physical Inventory procedures, including inventory counting, cycle counts, recounts, adjustments, and postings of discrepancies.

• Facilitate inventory processes for Generic Articles/Variants and Structured Articles, which encompasses pre-packs, sales sets/displays, and the impact on component-level inventory.

• Configure and manage Stock Transport Orders (STO), Stock in Transit, and movements between stores and distribution centers, covering applicable movement types and stock categories.

• Conduct inventory reconciliation and troubleshoot issues across POS, SAP CAR, and S/4HANA, addressing failed or delayed transactions as well as stock discrepancies.

• Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration with Article/Site Master, Procurement, EWM/Warehouse Management, Finance, and Omnichannel processes.

• Assist with testing, defect resolution, cutover, and implementation tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in SAP Retail/Fashion.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Retail Inventory Management.

• In-depth understanding of In-Store Inventory Management and Store Operations.

• Practical experience with physical inventory and reconciliation processes.

• Strong grasp of Generic Articles, Variants, and Structured Articles.

• Familiarity with STO, Stock in Transit, and inventory movements within stores and distribution centers.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting inventory integration across POS, SAP CAR, and S/4HANA.

• Comprehensive understanding of integration with Procurement, EWM/WM, Finance, Article/Site Master, and Omnichannel processes.

• A minimum of 2 SAP Retail implementation experiences.

• Ability to operate independently and coordinate effectively among business, functional, and technical teams.
