SAP Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Outline the project's scope, objectives, deliverables, and criteria for success.

• Create project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and strategies for execution.

• Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints of the project, and implement plans to mitigate them.

• Oversee project performance and ensure compliance with project management standards and methodologies.

• Assess changes in scope and evaluate their impact on timelines, budgets, and resource needs.

• Lead and manage daily operations for offshore project teams.

• Delegate tasks, establish priorities, and oversee the distribution of workloads.

• Coordinate resources across technical, functional, and business domains.

• Promote collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Act as the main point of contact between offshore teams and onshore leadership.

• Deliver status updates, milestone reports, and assessments of project health.

• Relay requirements, business objectives, and priorities to delivery teams.

• Escalate any risks, issues, or roadblocks encountered.

• Monitor project advancement against established milestones and deliverables.

• Keep schedules, action logs, risk registers, and status reports up to date.

• Develop metrics and dashboards for reporting to leadership.

• Track budget utilization, resource allocation, and adherence to schedules.

• Present project updates and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Manage the resolution of issues and coordinate support across functions.

• Suggest corrective actions when projects diverge from the planned course.

• Conduct activities related to project closure and post-project evaluations.

• Document lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Transition completed projects to operational or support teams.

• Maintain project documentation and materials for knowledge transfer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5-8 years of experience in project management, specifically leading technology, business transformation, or consulting projects.

• Experience in managing offshore or geographically distributed teams.

• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders at once.

• Strong grasp of project planning, governance, risk management, and resource allocation.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work overlapping hours with the U.S. Central Time Zone.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• MBA is preferred.

• Experience in IT consulting, managed services, enterprise applications, or digital transformation projects.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
