SAP Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete delivery of SAP implementation, integration, and rollout projects, from initial scoping and planning to go-live and hypercare.

• Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets across multiple simultaneous SAP engagements.

• Lead projects for large enterprise clients with a turnover exceeding Rs. 1000 Cr.

• Identify project risks and challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to resolve them.

• Monitor and report on project status, milestones, and RAID logs to leadership and client stakeholders.

• Take responsibility for requirement gathering, conducting configuration walkthroughs, and aligning business processes.

• Convert client workflows into solution designs in collaboration with functional consultants.

• Ensure that integrations are appropriately scoped, tested, and delivered.

• Steer project decisions by leveraging knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, modules, and implementation methodologies.

• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants across FICO, MM, SD, and other relevant modules.

• Assist in SAP landscape decisions, upgrades, configuration changes, and ongoing optimization efforts.

• Act as the primary liaison for enterprise client stakeholders and SAP/IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee external SAP implementation partners, System Integrators, and vendors.

• Conduct steering committee updates and executive-level status reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of overall experience, with a significant focus on SAP project management or SAP MM functional delivery.

• Demonstrated success in delivering SAP projects end-to-end for large enterprises with a turnover of Rs. 1000 Cr or more.

• Practical experience with SAP Material Management (MM), covering Purchase Orders, GRNs, invoice postings, and debit note postings.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA architecture, implementation strategies, and functional capabilities.

• Strong foundational skills in project management, including planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

• Capability to bridge business needs with technical SAP solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly in engaging senior client and internal leadership.

• Organized, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Ownership mentality with the capability to work independently and drive results.

• Preferred: Background as a Chartered Accountant (CA).

• Preferred: Experience in fintech, SaaS, ERP, or enterprise product environments.

• Preferred: Knowledge of SAP FICO, SD, Ariba, or Treasury.
