SAP Modernization Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee SAP development and enhancement initiatives for federal clients.

• Align technical teams and ensure delivery commitments are met.

• Maintain regular communication with government stakeholders throughout the phases of planning, development, testing, and deployment.

• Formulate IT strategies and modernization plans for system transformations.

• Create and uphold project plans, timelines, budgets, staffing strategies, and criteria for deliverable acceptance.

• Coordinate SAP development, integration, infrastructure, security, testing, and organizational change efforts.

• Manage requirements, scope alterations, dependencies, risks, and issues with thorough documentation and prompt escalation.

• Facilitate delivery meetings and present progress updates, performance metrics, and resource suggestions to leadership.

• Supervise quality reviews, user acceptance tests, release readiness, deployment, and transition to operational phases.

• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with client governance and contract stipulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Minimum of five years’ experience in managing SAP platform transformation projects.

• Over 15 years of relevant experience.

• Previous experience in supporting federal government programs.

• Proven ability to manage SAP development projects, multidisciplinary teams, schedules, and delivery risks.

• Strong skills in stakeholder communication, project reporting, and knowledge of both Agile and traditional delivery methodologies.

• Experience with SAP Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) and programs from the Federal Department of War (DOW) is preferred.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

• Eligible for Secret Clearance.
