SAP MM Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate business needs and create scalable SAP MM solutions for procurement and supply chain management.

• Set up SAP MM components including Purchasing, Inventory Management, Material Master, Vendor Master, Valuation, and Invoice Verification.

• Oversee end-to-end Procure-to-Pay implementation and enhancement initiatives.

• Configure plants, storage locations, purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, valuation areas, and company codes.

• Set up material types, material groups, account determination, release strategies, valuation classes, and movement types.

• Design and configure purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, scheduling agreements, RFQs, and source determination processes.

• Configure goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, physical inventory, and cycle counting procedures.

• Work collaboratively with ABAP developers to create Functional Specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, BADIs, User Exits, IDOCs, and forms.

• Integrate SAP MM with SD, PP, FI/CO, WM, EWM, QM, PM, and Ariba modules.

• Assist in SAP S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, testing, cutover activities, and post-go-live support.

• Create Business Process Documents, Functional Specifications, Configuration Documents, and Test Scripts.

• Diagnose production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver ongoing application support.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, solution design workshops, architecture reviews, and continuous process enhancement.

• Contribute to SAP transformation projects involving S/4HANA implementations, P2P transformation, procurement standardization, Ariba integration, warehouse modernization, inventory optimization, Fiori rollout, workflow automation, and cloud-based SAP integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of direct SAP MM consulting experience in enterprise SAP implementations.

• Profound knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Materials Management configuration.

• In-depth understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.

• Practical experience configuring Purchasing, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification, Material Master, Vendor Master, and procurement workflows.

• Expertise in configuring material types, purchasing document types, release procedures, movement types, valuation classes, account determination, and pricing procedures.

• Familiarity with configuring RFQs, contracts, scheduling agreements, purchase orders, and vendor evaluations.

• Strong grasp of inventory management, warehouse operations, stock transfers, physical inventory, cycle counting, and inventory valuation.

• Experience integrating SAP MM with FI/CO, SD, PP, QM, WM, EWM, PM, and Ariba.

• Ability to prepare ABAP Functional Specifications, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).

• Knowledge of IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, EDI, and middleware integration technologies.

• Experience supporting integrations with supplier portals, procurement platforms, warehouse management systems, and third-party logistics providers.

• Proficient in SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, SAP GUI, and SAP Fiori.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and business process improvement capabilities.

• Experience with Agile Scrum or SAP Activate implementation methodologies.

• Previous involvement in multiple full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects is preferred.

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori Apps, SAP BTP, and SAP Integration Suite is advantageous.

• Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP SLM, and SAP Business Network is preferred.

• Knowledge of SAP EWM, WM, and TM is a plus.

• Experience supporting global procurement and supply chain organizations is an asset.

• Familiarity with MRP, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain Planning processes is desirable.

• Experience integrating SAP with Coupa, Jaggaer, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Boomi, or other enterprise applications is beneficial.

• SAP MM or SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement certification is highly preferred.

• Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, retail, or consumer goods is desirable.

• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud, procurement reporting, and operational analytics is a plus.
