SAP HCM Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the technical design, construction, testing, and implementation of tailored solutions within SAP HCM and Payroll.

• Evaluate functional design specifications and convert them into comprehensive technical designs.

• Create, refine, and enhance custom SAP HCM objects utilizing ABAP.

• Produce and maintain custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and other technical elements.

• Work closely with functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure technical designs match approved specifications.

• Conduct technical/unit testing, validate code, and prepare solutions for functional testing.

• Diagnose and resolve issues during functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing phases.

• Provide remediation support through retesting and closure of defects.

• Create and uphold technical design documents, development specifications, and testing artifacts.

• Assist with transport management, deployment tasks, and ensuring production readiness.

• Collaborate with integration developers to establish connections with SAP or external systems.

• Utilize SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite for integration-centric custom solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

• Proven experience in developing custom solutions within SAP HCM and/or Payroll environments.

• Familiarity with building and supporting reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and associated custom components.

• Capability to interpret functional specifications and transform them into robust technical designs.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of SAP HCM data structures, technical architecture, and integration points.

• Experience supporting development through all stages of testing and deployment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with functional and integration teams.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Eligible for Public Trust clearance.

• Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future in the United States.
