SAP FICO Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to grasp processes and convert business needs into effective SAP solutions.

• Constructively challenge requirements and suggest more robust alternatives.

• Configure and enhance SAP FICO functionalities in S/4HANA, leveraging AI and consultant support when beneficial.

• Assist in the global rollout across remaining countries, addressing local finance and regulatory requirements.

• Connect finance processes across modules for comprehensive end-to-end alignment beyond FICO.

• Guide external consultants towards the highest-value tasks and minimize reliance on them.

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and ensure alignment among business teams, developers, and end users throughout implementation, testing, and go-live phases.

• Collaborate with the SAP SD counterpart on an S/4HANA rollout encompassing approximately 70 offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP FICO experience, or less if able to demonstrate delivery on similar projects.

• Proven experience configuring SAP FICO in live projects.

• Strong comprehension of finance and controlling processes, including GL, AP, AR, cost controlling, and reporting.

• Capability to challenge requirements and clearly articulate reasoning to senior stakeholders.

• Practical experience with S/4HANA: Private Cloud, Public Cloud, or on-premise.

• An adaptable and fast-moving mindset.

• Proficiency in professional English.

• Experience or certification in S/4HANA Public Cloud projects is advantageous.

• Experience in multi-country rollouts within a multinational organization is a plus.

• A finance or accounting background applied within IT is beneficial.
