SAP Cutover Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation for a Department of War client.

• Organize, coordinate, and manage the transition from legacy systems to a new SAP S/4HANA production environment.

• Design and implement a thorough cutover strategy aimed at minimizing disruptions.

• Work in conjunction with functional teams, developers, data migration experts, infrastructure groups, and client stakeholders.

• Lead workshops to identify dependencies and create the master runbook.

• Adjust cutover schedules and strategies based on client priorities, regulatory changes, and executive decisions.

• Supervise cutover simulations and manage stakeholder communications.

• Create and enhance deployment project documentation.

• Conduct daily stand-ups and oversee command center activities during the go-live phase.

• Coordinate various teams to address functional and technical obstacles.

• Track progress, deliver status updates, and implement contingency measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical experience with SAP deployment lifecycles.

• Familiarity with SAP BASIS concepts, such as transports, client copies, and system connectivity.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud environments, including infrastructure preparedness and backup/restore principles.

• Experience with SAP Activate methodology and the SAP application lifecycle.

• Proven ability to coordinate efforts among functional consultants, developers, legacy system owners, and business users to implement integrated cutover plans.

• Capacity to adapt strategies in response to changing client priorities, resource limitations, or technical dependencies.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• An active Secret Clearance is required.

• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship is necessary.

• Experience with DoD ERP implementations is a plus.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Relevant SAP certifications are advantageous.
