SAP ABAP Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead or carry out custom code remediation, performance enhancement, and technical conversion activities during the transition from legacy ECC systems to SAP S/4HANA.

• Assess and modify custom ABAP code, reports, and enhancements to ensure compatibility with the S/4HANA simplification database list.

• Utilize the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and perform simplification item checks to detect obsolete code.

• Manage dictionary and program modifications during system upgrades using SPAU/SPDD.

• Refine legacy programs for the SAP HANA database by employing CDS views and ABAP for S/4HANA.

• Support Fiori app activation, OData services configuration, and modernization of user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 10+ years of comprehensive SAP ABAP experience.

• Active involvement in a minimum of 2 to 3 Brownfield conversion projects (system conversions/technical upgrades).

• Proficiency in Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP.

• Expertise in debugging.

• Skills in SQL optimization.

• Familiarity with enhancement frameworks (BAdIs, User Exits).

• In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA data structures.

• Experience in custom code adaptation.

• Understanding of migration cockpit tools.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
