SAP ABAP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Analyze, harmonize, and consolidate a vast array of interfaces across various ECC systems into a cohesive target system.

• Conduct a thorough inventory of interfaces, along with mapping and impact analysis between source and target systems.

• Create, enhance, and rectify inbound and outbound interfaces, which includes IDocs, RFCs, Proxies, Web Services, and file-based interfaces.

• Streamline duplicate or redundant interfaces and redirect integrations to the unified system.

• Reconstruct and retest partner profiles, ports, distribution models (ALE/EDI), and IDoc configurations following the consolidation.

• Collaborate with middleware teams (PI/PO, CPI, or third-party integration tools) to synchronize interface endpoints and mappings.

• Aid in cutover activities that involve interface reconnections, re-validations, and error management.

• Create and enhance frameworks for custom interface monitoring, reprocessing, and error handling.

• Prepare interfaces for S/4HANA readiness, taking into account simplification impacts and redesign considerations.

• Assist in unit, integration, and end-to-end interface testing with connected systems and partners.

• Document technical specifications for interfaces, including mappings and changes made during consolidation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.

• Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong emphasis on interfaces and integration.

• Extensive knowledge of IDocs (both standard and custom, including extensions, partner profiles, ports, WE20/WE21, and reprocessing).

• Significant experience with ALE/EDI, RFC/BAPI, ABAP Proxies, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

• Experience in integrating SAP with middleware solutions (SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or third-party tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.).

• Practical experience with file-based interfaces (flat files, XML, CSV) and their management.

• Proven track record in system consolidation/merger/carve-out projects, particularly in interface migration and re-pointing (highly preferred).

• Strong foundational skills in ABAP: Reports, ALV, User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework, and debugging.

• Proficient in interface error monitoring and reprocessing tools (BD87, SM58, SXMB_MONI, etc.).

• Familiarity with custom code analysis tools (Code Inspector, ATC).

• Experience utilizing JIRA and SOLMAN.
