SAP ABAP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, modify, enhance, and maintain ABAP reports and custom programs in alignment with business needs.

• Engage extensively with SAP Data Dictionary objects.

• Generate reports utilizing internal tables, work areas, field symbols, loops, modularization, and database operations.

• Design and improve ALV reports leveraging suitable ALV frameworks.

• Work on SAP forms, such as Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.

• Review existing custom programs and implement modifications, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Debug ABAP programs to pinpoint root causes and resolve both functional and technical issues.

• Adhere to coding, naming, documentation, and development best practices.

• Collaborate with functional consultants to convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and provide production support.

• Draft technical specifications and documentation.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams throughout the development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong grasp of ABAP programming principles, debugging, error management, and performance factors.

• Extensive experience with SAP Data Dictionary (DDIC) objects, including tables, structures, data elements, domains, views, search helps, and table types.

• Proficient in developing reports using internal tables, work areas, field symbols, loops, modularization, and database operations.

• Practical experience with Function Modules, subroutines, methods, and other modularization techniques.

• Experience in developing and enhancing ALV reports using relevant ALV frameworks.

• Familiarity with SAP forms, including Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.

• Proven experience in analyzing and modifying existing custom programs while performing enhancements and bug fixes.

• Experience with ABAP debugging to identify root causes and resolve functional and technical challenges.

• Knowledge of coding standards, naming conventions, documentation standards, and development best practices.

• Ability to collaborate with functional consultants to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Experience in unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and providing production support.

• Capability to prepare technical specifications and development documentation.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams during development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
