Sanitation Associate – Day Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Clean and sanitize the facility, materials, and processing equipment.

• Adhere to Vital Farms policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and all regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.

• Report any conditions or practices that could negatively impact food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.

• Operate sanitation equipment and handle chemicals safely.

• Clean spills, processing areas, entrances, facilities, and break rooms.

• Clean and stock footbaths and handwashing stations.

• Manage egg washer water changes, run CIP circuits, and assist in cleaning processing equipment.

• Titrate chemicals and ensure proper levels at chemical mixing stations, dispensers, material washers, and CIP circuits.

• Maintain egg waste using Egg Press equipment according to SOPs.

• Audit equipment and supplies and communicate needs for replacements or reorders.

• Operate lab equipment and conduct timely testing to avoid downtime and processing delays.

• Obtain certification for operating a scissor lift or pallet jack.

• Assist with special projects and perform other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sanitation or manufacturing experience.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to follow specific instructions.

• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English for safety and quality purposes.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

• Capable of standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.

• Good manual dexterity to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts.

• Able to work safely in wet conditions.

• Must possess strong math and computer skills.

• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
