Salesforce Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Salesforce implementation projects from start to finish, covering the entire SDLC and Agile delivery lifecycle.

• Manage the project's scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies, deliverables, resource allocation, and client expectations.

• Facilitate the execution of intricate multi-cloud and multi-integration Salesforce projects with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients through executive communications, progress reporting, workshops, governance meetings, and delivery assessments.

• Work in partnership with solution architects, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and leadership to strategize technical and functional delivery.

• Track project health by utilizing KPIs, financial monitoring, RAID logs, sprint metrics, and delivery milestones.

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, as well as resolve any escalated issues.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning.

• Ensure compliance with Salesforce implementation best practices, governance standards, quality expectations, and delivery methodologies.

• Assist with requirements collection, effort estimation, roadmap planning, implementation strategy, and change management processes.

• Engage in pre-sales and business development initiatives, which include scoping workshops, statement of work evaluations, effort estimation, and client presentations.

• Provide leadership and guidance to offshore and remote delivery team members.

• Coordinate deployment readiness, testing, UAT support, release management, and production cutover planning activities.

• Cultivate client relationships and establish FormativGroup as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing enterprise Salesforce implementation projects within consulting or professional services settings.

• Strong proficiency in delivering solutions utilizing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Lightning Platform, and related Salesforce technologies.

• At least 8 years of experience leading Agile software delivery initiatives across project, product, or program management domains.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-workstream, multi-cloud Salesforce programs with complex integration landscapes.

• Experience in leading geographically distributed delivery teams, including offshore and onshore delivery models.

• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce delivery methodologies, release management, SDLC processes, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and XP.

• Experience in managing project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, utilization tracking, and performance metrics.

• Demonstrated ability to manage executive stakeholders, navigate challenging conversations, and foster alignment among technical and business teams.

• Strong technical knowledge that includes understanding Salesforce architecture, integrations, APIs, data migration strategies, and platform capabilities.

• Experience in complex or regulated enterprise environments, with an understanding of governance, compliance, and security considerations.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and client relationship management skills.

• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced consulting environments while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.

• An active PMP certification is a plus.

• Preferred Salesforce certifications include Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, and Salesforce Certified Application Architect.

• Preferred Scrum Master certification such as CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce deployment frameworks.

• Preferred experience with integrations involving MuleSoft, APIs, middleware platforms, or external enterprise systems.

• Preferred experience supporting large enterprise transformation programs across various industries.

• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, Revenue Cloud, or other emerging Salesforce capabilities is advantageous.
