Salesforce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead incident response efforts during renewals, launches, and high-demand periods.

• Oversee user management, including profiles, permission sets, roles, and license assignments.

• Develop and sustain declarative automation using Flow, validation rules, and approval processes.

• Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and Lightning App pages.

• Create and manage CRM and operational reports and dashboards.

• Ensure data quality through deduplication, standardization, and ongoing maintenance.

• Prioritize and manage the support and enhancement backlog effectively.

• Write, test, and maintain Apex triggers, classes, batch jobs, and scheduled jobs.

• Develop Lightning Web Components for tailored interfaces.

• Design and configure member portal experiences on Experience Cloud.

• Support and maintain REST and SOAP API integrations with Absorb LMS, Stripe, Blackthorn, Marketing Cloud, and Pendo.

• Create unit tests that meet Salesforce's minimum coverage requirement of 75%.

• Execute deployments and sandbox refreshes in alignment with the release schedule and environment strategy.

• Own user acceptance testing and post-launch stabilization processes.

• Convert business requirements into technical designs and build specifications.

• Advise stakeholders regarding feasibility, effort, and trade-offs.

• Collaborate with external implementation partners on development and release tasks.

• Document configuration, customizations, and decision-making processes.

• Monitor Salesforce releases and implement relevant features and best practices.

• Report directly to the Director of Digital Experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical Salesforce experience in administration and development roles.

• Salesforce Administrator certification is required.

• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification is required.

• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required.

• In-depth understanding of the Salesforce security model, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and organizational-wide defaults.

• Practical experience with Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.

• Proficient in declarative automation, especially Flow.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience in coordinating efforts with external implementation or development partners.

• Competence in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Lightning Web Components.

• Basic knowledge of REST and SOAP API integrations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Strong project management abilities with a proven history of managing expectations and ensuring consistent follow-through and delivery.

• Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in workplace or community settings.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to Yoga Alliance’s Arlington, VA office for organizational meetings, training sessions, and retreats.

• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is preferred.

• Experience with credentialing or certification systems, particularly regarding renewals, application flows, and the underlying data models, is preferred.

• Background in membership organizations, non-profits, or associations is preferred.

• Experience with data deduplication and data quality tools within Salesforce is preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.
