Salesforce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Salesforce applications and enhancements.

• Create custom functionality utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce Flow.

• Establish and manage integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs along with other integration technologies.

• Convert functional and technical requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.

• Work alongside Salesforce Architects to implement solutions that are consistent with enterprise architecture and platform standards.

• Create reusable components, services, and frameworks that enhance scalability and maintainability.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to established Salesforce development standards.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate application, integration, data, and performance challenges.

• Assist in unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.

• Generate and maintain relevant technical documentation.

• Support Salesforce releases, deployments, environment management, and production implementations.

• Take part in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to facilitate automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Partner with administrators and business teams to assess when declarative versus custom development is suitable.

• Ensure that solutions comply with relevant federal security, privacy, accessibility, and governance requirements.

• Work closely with Salesforce Architects, Administrators, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, integration teams, and program stakeholders to convert business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 5+ years of software development experience, including substantial hands-on Salesforce development experience.

• Strong expertise in Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).

• Familiarity with Salesforce Flow and declarative platform functionalities.

• Solid understanding of SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce data models, and platform security.

• Experience in integrating Salesforce with external applications using REST and SOAP APIs.

• Experience in developing solutions within Salesforce Lightning Experience.

• Proficient in version control and source-driven development.

• Experience in supporting Salesforce testing, releases, and production deployments.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development best practices.

• Experience working within Agile development environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication abilities.

• Ability to meet relevant federal background investigation requirements.

• Preferred: Prior experience supporting federal government, federal healthcare, or health IT programs.

• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or Salesforce implementations in highly regulated environments.

• Preferred: Experience with Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Health Cloud.

• Preferred: Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.

• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce DX and modern DevOps/CI/CD methodologies.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, or similar delivery tools.

• Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

• Preferred certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I; Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II; Salesforce Platform App Builder; Salesforce JavaScript Developer I; and other relevant Salesforce certifications.
