This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance commercial planning dashboards and reporting.

• Conduct independent analysis of retailer POS, distributor platforms, and syndicated data to uncover early signals, velocity gaps, distribution prospects, and demand risks.

• Convert data into actionable insights for customers, channels, promotions, and innovations.

• Drive executive-level reporting and scenario modeling in collaboration with Finance, including budget variance analysis and forward-looking risk/opportunity assessments.

• Create and present data-driven analyses and recommendations for quarterly business reviews, customer business planning, board materials, and internal commercial planning sessions.

• Direct presentations to senior leadership.

• Collaborate with Sales to integrate promotional plans, distribution assumptions, customer commitments, and account-level insights into demand planning.

• Work alongside Finance to align forecasts with revenue expectations, gross-to-net planning, trade investment, and risk/opportunity tracking.

• Team up with Operations and Supply Chain to communicate changes, identify inventory or service risks, and assist with supply planning decisions.

• Monitor promotional commitments, evaluate post-event performance, and analyze the impact of major account activities on the demand plan.

• Establish and uphold planning data discipline across spreadsheets, ERP, BI tools, and reporting sources.

• Collaborate on data quality, reporting standards, systems integration requirements, and process enhancements.

• Define and implement scalable planning templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and planning routines.

• Identify breakdowns in processes, inputs, or assumptions and suggest solutions.

• Propose and execute enhancements to planning processes and infrastructure.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of advancing experience in forecast planning, sales planning, commercial analytics, supply chain finance, or a closely related analytical planning role, preferably within CPG or food and beverage.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent experience demonstrating a similar analytical foundation.

• Practical forecasting experience, including managing a forecast from start to finish and leading forecast reviews.

• Advanced skills in Excel/sheets and financial modeling, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, large datasets, handling imperfect source data, and building models from scratch.

• Experience with retailer POS, syndicated data, or commercial performance metrics such as SPINS, Circana, Nielsen, customer portals, UNFI, and KeHe distributor reporting.

• Strong understanding of trade promotion mechanics and their impact on volume, revenue, and supply planning.

• Hands-on experience with ERP, BI, TPM/TPO, or planning tools such as NetSuite, SAP, Anaplan, Confido, Pecan, Exceedra, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.

• Proven ability to distill detailed analysis into clear recommendations and present findings directly to Sales, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.

• Familiarity with natural, specialty, conventional grocery, mass, club, e-commerce, or distributor-based channels.

• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations while enhancing planning discipline in an evolving data landscape.

• Experience owning or co-leading S&OP, IBP, MFR, or other recurring commercial planning processes (preferred).

• Experience with a high-growth, founder-led, or entrepreneurial CPG brand (preferred).

• Experience in trade planning, post-promotion analysis, customer planning, or annual operating plan development (preferred).

• Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to senior leadership or board-level audiences (preferred).

• MBA or other advanced degree in a related field (preferred).

• Familiarity with the Momofuku Goods brand, philosophy, and internal systems (preferred).
