This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee and/or cultivate business within a designated territory.
• Relay sales progress updates to the sales team and higher-level management.
• Enhance sales through specifications, distributors, contractors, and developers by engaging with key clients.
• Foster relationships, monitor significant projects, and boost product visibility and success.
• Regularly interact with distributor sales and operations/specification staff and other irrigation professionals.
• Generate product demand to support distribution in achieving sales objectives.
• Identify and track golf irrigation initiatives throughout the entire sales process.
• Eliminate barriers to the end user’s decision to purchase a Hunter system.
• Implement customer training programs, participate in trade shows, and organize promotional events.
• Maintain the Hunter CRM system, including Salesforce, within the assigned territory.
• Provide field service and support as necessary.
• Administer warranty policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines when necessary.
• Suggest customer modifications and keep management informed about territory developments and relevant information.
• Notify management of significant changes affecting customers’ business contexts.
• Propose individual budget needs and oversee spending within budgetary limits.
• Submit timely reimbursement requests for expenses.
• Aid in gathering market data for forecasts and reports, including regional insights, competitive analysis, contractor pricing, and area programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Landscape Architecture is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in professional sales or a technical support role is preferred.
• Experience in the golf industry is essential.
• Understanding of selling, pricing, marketing, and distribution models specific to the industry.
• Strong selling and presentation skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Capability to articulate and promote the features and advantages of all Hunter products and conduct relevant training and educational sessions.
• A strong dedication to customer service.
• Technical knowledge of both company and competitor products.
• Ability to perform field service, troubleshoot systems, recommend solutions, and demonstrate product comparisons directly.
• Familiarity with finance and budgeting processes.
• Competence in managing expenses within budgetary constraints.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships and provide exceptional customer service and support.
• Involvement in golf industry associations at both regional and national levels.
• Willingness to travel extensively, reside in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Windows programs, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance standards.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
• Advanced-level technical expertise and relevant certifications for products are preferred.
• Fluency in additional languages commonly spoken in the region is preferred.
• Understanding of regional business and cultural practices is preferred.
